The album was named after his beautiful daughter. Wilmer is Patoranking first daughter’s name. This is because he got the inspiration for this new album from his beautiful first daughter according to an interview with Legit.ng. He further say that ever since Wilmer was born to this world, she has came as a blessing to me, Patoraking said. and every day, Patoranking is happier than the day before.
Meanwhile, before we reach to the songs, it is good to let you know that it took patoranking two years to produce this new album titled "Wilmer". That shows he took his time and wealth to produce this wonderful album, so far all those who have listened to the songs have no complaints.
In the new album, the Nigeria popular dancehall singer features many popular artists from Nigeria and outside the country, some from Africa and others from other part of the world. In the album Patoranking features his fellow Nigerian musician Davido, Dona who is from England, Busisw of South Africa, Daja who is a French musician from cotonou Congolese singer, Nyashins from Kenya and Berah who is a Georgian singer. was held at a lounge in Ikoyi Lagos State Nigeria.The party was attended by fans and followers and Top musicians like Wizkid Babanla, Tiwa Savage, Don Jazzy, Yemi Alade, Denrele, Phyno, MI Abaga among others all came out to support Patoranking.
The new album official release date is on 24th of May 2019 few days to his birthday. Patoranking's birthday happens to be on the 27th of May.
