APC Made A Very Big Mistake Zoning House Of Representatives Speakership To South-west - Umar Bago


“What am saying, we are saying that we are not antagonizing the party.

Solution for the wrong choice our party has made, the party should have a rethink before Monday and say yes, we have made a very big mistake, let us do things rightly."

The member representing chanchaga Local Government Area in Niger State who is also a third-time representative from Chanchanga federal constituency of Niger State, Muhammad Umar Bago has said the All Progressives Congress made a very big mistake zoning house of representatives speakership To South-West.


Umar Bago, a 3rd-time rep from Chanchanga constituency of Niger State, in an interview with Trends24ng, said his refusal to back up the race is to correct the mistake made by the party All Progressive Congress APC.

Bago also claimed that the North-Central and the South-East were the greatest casualties of the zoning formula of All Progressive Congress, as they feel cheated by the action of the All Progressive Congress to zone the speakership of the 9th Assembly to the North central region.

He further said that he's contesting for the position to provide a solution against the wrong choice made by the party the All Progressive Congress.

He added, “We are only providing a solution for the bad choice the party has made,so that the party might have a rethink before
Monday - Tuesday and say okay, we have made a big  mistake, let correct our mistakes."

Bago was further asked if Gbajabiamila of south west  is a wrong choice because of the accusation against him, Bago Umar said, “No, it’s the zoning. The party considered two zones in their consideration, the South-east and the North Central.

“The North-Central region where I’m from, everyone know we deserve to produce the next speaker based on what my people
brought to the table for the All Progressive Congress APC to be victorious. We all know this, this is something that nobody can doubt, we have the figures.”

Meanwhile, mother of the member Representing Chanchaga constituency of Niger State and  Speakership aspirant Rt. Hon. Umar Bago Mohammed, is dead.
According to statement signed by Mall. Isah Nagenu, Spokesman to Bago Campaign Organisation, Bago Umar's Mother Hajia Mohammed died on Sunday, 2 June, 2019 after a brief illness.

He said, “We wish to announce to the public, with gratitude to Almighty Allah, the death of Hajiya Aishah Muhammad, the mother of 9th Assembly Speakership aspirant and member representing Chanchaga Federal Constituency Niger State.

Aisha Mohammed was buried on Monday, June 3, 2019 after Janaizah prayers in Niger state, Minna.

He further prayed Allah to “forgive Amina Mohammed shortcomings and grant her Aljannatul Firduas ameen”.
